I used to love Jinya. The Flying V Ramen was the best vegan ramen I could find. I went there tonight after my sonβs promotion to 2nd degree black belt, excited because it had been too long and I was sadly disappointed. The restaurant was clean and kept up in a server were nice, but thatβs about the only good thing I could say. They changed the vegan ramen and it just wasnβt good. I think they one big change was the vegetarian meat to impossible meat and I am not a fan. The egg that my daughter got and her ramen was not cooked to a soft boil. My sonβs karage chicken might have been undercooked too, I pray it wasnβt. We also waited 30 + mins for our server to get us boxes and the check but my husband literally had to wave him down because he didnβt even acknowledge us once during that time. I am very sad and probably wonβt come back. Another thing, we had to wait so long for our check that we ended up having to pay for parking which was also annoying.

What can I say about my first experience? It was nothing short of amazing! As we walked up, Chris greeted us and helped us navigate the menu. His recommendations and willingness to explain everything made it easy for us to decide to give JINYA a try. The food was impeccable, and the service was stellar from start to finish. A special thank you to Chris and the entire JINYA staff for making our first visit such a memorable one. We felt welcomed, well taken care of, and thoroughly enjoyed every moment. We will definitely be back!

Jinya is a solid choice for ramen and price point, and fantastic for kids. The happy hour delivers, especially that karage. The main highlight (for us parents) Iβve *never* found a better kids meal at a ramen spot. Great price and multiple delicious stages, so they get their first dish early and keeps them busy. Even finishes off with a little ice cream. I myself always get the original. The other dishes are fine but the original is thick noodles in mouthwatering pork broth, so so so savory. I wish they had more pork broth options. The service is usually just okay, but recently itβs been more on point, really attentive. Proactive and friendly. The ambience is nice, but only in one spot outside thatβs not around the fire pit. And depending on the time of year and time of evening, the sun can wreck you out there. No shades or blinds. The fire pit is neat but not great for groups. Thereβs a lot more seating inside, but they blast the trendy music way too loud. Itβs obnoxious and stressful in there. Still, itβs my go-to local ramen shop as long as I can get a decent seat outside!
